Does size matter .... photos?

I was thinking of uploading some pics ( into the garden thread) of the herb garden i created this year at a Community garden, but am wondering if i need to reduce the file size? Not sure how to do it on my phone but i expect there is an app that can do it and i can probably work it out if that is necessary.

Not sure who in the team to ask about this …@Kaveh ? @Kirill ? Or maybe @alexwalkerjones ?

Hello @drmudlark - always a pleasure to hear from you and yes please to some community garden photos! :blossom:

I’m not aware of any file limits for the treehouse (at worst they may just take a moment to load for everyone), but I can recommend the website “tinyjpg.com” for an easy way to decrease file size without compromising the quality of the photo!

If you get stuck, I can always help you upload them if you sent them to me by email, etc - so just let me know! x

Thanks for your reply Alex @alexwalkerjones.
Everything is on my phone.
Tinyjpg looks useful and i think that would be for my laptop. I dont have home broadband at present (fed up with BT hikes and all companies who have no loyalty; can’t be doing with constantly changing; and have less need these days). I know about tethering to my mobile but have never had any success with getting that to work.

If i go to the library with my laptop I can do it there.
If not, I’ll either send them to you or try them as they are with some writing with them and see what happens…
…Hope i don’t uproot the Treehouse, eh Aaron?

Not that old chestnut!
:dog2: Bark, bark

Talking of stumps, SO sad to see that some horrible vandals felled that beautiful iconic 300 year old Sycamore by Hadrians Wall. Shocking even.

I cannot begin to understand the mentality of some people. If they catch the culprits (not yet clear if it was the ones arrested and I imagine hard to prove) I hope they receive some appropriately stern punishment.

As Si King of the Hairy Bikers duo said - the vandal has murdered a sentinel of time and elemental spirit of Northumberland.

So sad that we live in a society where some people see no value in Nature :sob:
