If I get it going I will have a special for sofi members
Sonjas sheep farm hotel
@Aaron now that’s a idea
woah @sonja.ekkers.77 !!! what a video and what an inspiring trail of messages in the Treehouse!! Some fantastic ideas. Sofi-Camps come to mind… (S)heep (O)n (F)arm (I)immersion Camps
Honestly, there might be quite a market for this, given that many not only lack sleep but exposure to nature…
Keep up the thought process and keep us posted.
Till then … we’ll keep on counting sheep
Id love to do this with penguins aswell, id never be away from the place though
@sonja.ekkers.77 they are the perfect Sofi mascots! Watching them can be super relaxing!
Also I noticed that some are shy but others seem to love being on camera
Your right some are bottle fed so they are very tame . Others I have managed to tame by hand feeding. And some are just so suspicious that they just don’t come near you. I’m still working on them by nature their pray animals so shy and will run away but the once I tamed are friendly and love a scratch. And push you over get in the way and trip you up
And now off to deliver a calf fingers crossed for a safe arrival
Something I thought you would love @sonja.ekkers.77 … during the crazy storms, someone sent me this picture … caption was brilliant “Whiff of Damien Hirst as these local sheep shelter from the storm in a bus stop.”
I seen this on Facebook made me laugh. Sheep can be clever if they want to
I think a live nighttime stream where you watch the sheep or lambs sleep might be quite peaceful to look at for our pioneers and possibly not be too hard to set up? That way we can all nod off genuinely counting sheep
The idea is good but the problem is you get the good the bad and the ugly on a life stream. Like now we are still about a week early. And just have had two stillborn. What is horrible. Both sheep will get two new lambs adopted from other farm who lost their moms or just didn’t get accepted by their moms. Than sheep have a tendency to lay down on there lambs and sadly the lambs won’t survive. Than if there is a lamb that didn’t make it in the night mr or miss fox comes along and has a bit of dinner right Infront of the camera.
I’m going to make a video when we have a few young healthy lambs. But officially we shouldn’t have any yet till first week of march.
And who wants to see me in my PJ’s that will keep everyone awake
Here is my favourite sheep Rosie. Who had a stillborn about two days ago. We have put a other lamb on her from a different farm, who lost her mom:weary: it takes a few days before the ewe(Rosie) will accept the new lamb. But we are getting there. Last night we had a other one with a still born so a new lamb is on its way. It’s so sad when they loose their lambs this late on as the sheep is looking for the lambs. And we have to pick up a fully perfectly formed lamb and deal with mom’s.

I am such a a huge fan of the natural narrative here @sonja.ekkers.77 … maybe in time there be some sofi Pioneers who may even volunteer at Sonja’s Sheep Sanctuary for the Sleepless (SSSS)!
That is extremely sweet!! If I didn’t already have this treehouse as my wallpaper it would be there right now! Thx for sharing these amazing gems @sonja.ekkers.77 ! Does the little one have a name?
Yes this one is called Nellie the other one is called Mollie from the farm they came from.
Hi @sonja.ekkers.77 love the photos. Do you have any dogs to help you? I counted 34 sheep then one moved and I had to start all over again. Lol
