Dear treehouse! For the past few months we have been diligently working on a new way to recognise the incredible contribution that our Pioneers continue to make to the development of sofi. We firmly believe in the power of community and know that without you we would not be where we are right now.
So, in addition to our beloved “sofi seeds” rewards program, we’ve developed a new referral program that provides the opportunity to make some real cash!
For those who have been following along, you’ll know we recently reimagined the purpose of our sofi seeds, in line with something that we feel more strongly reflects our internal values here at sofi.
First, instead of applying our sofi seeds towards subscription prices, we decided to launch with our lowest, and locked-in, early-bird prices, for all subscribing Pioneers - and not just those with a certain number of seeds accumulated.
Then, over the next few months, our plan is to create a range of cool things, from planting trees to… sofi candles… and other products, exclusively available in a sofi seed store.
We are also going to begin compiling a range of causes that align with sofi - specifically looking at organisations working in biodiversity and conservation, mental and physical health, etc., and we plan to commit to these a portion of our direct revenues, whereby the greater the number of seeds you have earned (in total), the more voting power you have within our community to help us support that cause!
In short, sofi seeds will be the mechanism that binds our values, our pioneers and our causes together - as well as unlocking limited edition products that won’t be available anywhere else…… but they’re no longer the only reward for referrals!

introducing our cash-back rewards program!
As a more tangible reward for helping us so directly on our mission to reconnect people and plants, we’ve created a cash-back referral program that pays £5 (or $5) for each and every person you refer to a subscription with us.
how it works
Not only will you receive £5/$5 cash-back as a thank you from us to you - but a £5 discount will be automatically applied, during checkout, to the subscription plan of each friend or family member you refer. (Meanwhile, the sofi seeds you earn when they download the app or complete a journey won’t change, so you’ll continue adding to your seed bank too)!
You can request a payout for your money earned anytime after the allotted 30-days, receivable via PayPal and other options. (A 30-day minimum applies for cash rewards to be reflected in the sofi app and redeemed for cash. This is simply to protect against any attempt to game the system in an unfair way)
This isn’t just about rewards; it’s about building bridges, fostering connections, and sowing the seeds of positive change within our community. It’s a testament to the belief that every ounce of hard work deserves acknowledgment, and every step towards progress merits celebration! 
…the best part of this new feature is that it’s already out now!

PS - for those who may have missed our email: we’ve also gone ahead and applied the same £5/$5 discount for all Pioneers who subscribe from this moment forward - as well as those who already have a subscription pre-ordered (which will be reflected in the price you pay upon shipment of your first month’s refills)!
