App hasn't been recording my sprays

Hi, I hadn’t realised that my app hadn’t been recording my sprays. I have done 10 days with n.01 and started on n.02 but the app still has n.02 with 69 of 70 sprays left. Is there any way that I can shange it to n.o2 as I have already administered 2 days of spray?

Hi @Milli47 - thanks for posting! Just to double check - do you recall if the app was counting down sprays correctly when you were on n01?

it may be worth checking that your battery isn’t out of juice (you can test this by removing the top cap, taking out the green sofi “brain” and pressing the very small button underneath to check for a green light). No light = battery has died.

However, if your stick is pairing okay but just not counting down - it sounds like it could be a different issue.

@Milli47 , I’m having the same issue. Spraying away and Bluetooth on…but not reducing the spray numbers. Tried logging in and out etc…no joy

Hi Alex,

I have just read my post from yesterday and meant to say that “the app still has n.01 with 69 of 70 sprays left” (even though I am now on n.02)

I didn’t remember reading that the app would countdown each time you sprayed ie: going from 70/70, 69/70, 68/70 etc.

Even though I made sure that the ‘sofi stick was connected’ before I sprayed, I didn’t notice that the numbers were not counting down. Since I re-read the instructions yesterday I have been checking and, every time I spray now, it is counting down. The only problem is, it is counting down on n.01 instead of n.02

Will I just have to continue recording as n.01 or can you change it to n.02?

Thanks,

Susan

Hi Susan,

Thanks so much for the clarification! We are investigating a potential magnets issue as the magnets in the cap of each of your plant pods are what identifies them when inserted into your sofi stick.

It would be interesting to know whether your n03 is being recognised at all (in which case it might be a good idea to switch to that for now while we figure this out) - or if n01 is just where you are stuck for now.

Thanks again! We will be doing everything we can to remedy this :crossed_fingers: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thx @alexwalkerjones and @Milli47 hugely grateful for your patience … the S1 and S2 generation of sofi sticks use a basic method of bottle recognition that is wreaking a little bit of havoc on our systems right now. The good news is that we have engineered this entirely out in the current S3 build that’s under development and which every active pioneer will receive one whether they have an S1, S2 or completed baseline and validated address. The S3 sofi sticks will user RFID which means we can identify infinite number of bottles without the challenges we are currently having as we are attempting to run the S2 Pioneer Program with two generations of bottles (S1 amd S2) … probably more then you wanted to hear but keep the course … sofi is continuously improving with all the feedback

Hi Alex,

I think we’ve solved the problem. When I inserted the n02 pod the spray was not working and the liquid was just leaking out everywhere. My husband swapped the spray cap from n01 pod to the n02 pod not realising that it was the spray cap that linked and logged the sprays. We have tried fiddling around with the cap from n02 and it now appears to be spraying correctly and is now being recognised. Unfortunately the number of sprays used is incorrect but I will continue until the 10 days are up and then switch to n03.

Thanks,

Susan

Just received my first set of pods…S2 but the Sofi app says i am using S1. In addition, the sprays are only counting down occasionally. Sometimes they all register, sometimes only 1 spray registers. I press hard, leave a gap and am close to the app…not sure what else i can do.
I have done all the updates as suggested and each of the individual pods is clearly recognised. The mechanical aspect of the spray is fine.

Hi! I just got my pods today and am unfortunately having this same issue. I’ve logged out and back into the app which didn’t help, and am making sure to press down all the way when spraying. The light on the sprayer is working so the battery is fine. The app just isn’t logging any sprays, when I’ve already done six today. The sprayer is connected to the app and shows which pod I’m on, but the sprays are not logging. :frowning:

Hi @teresa10823 and @savanna - thank you both so much for reporting the issue! We are compiling a report of similar things happening to several Pioneers, and our team is investigating this as a critical priority. I have added your cases to the report and hope to be in touch with a fix soon!

In the meantime, if you notice any changes or any rhyme or reason to the counting of sprays, please let us know.

P.S. Teresa, I have managed to move you to the S2 from the S1 so let me know if you’re seeing passiflora now instead of valerian

Just to follow up @savanna and @teresa10823, would you be able to snap a photo of the cap of your formulation bottle for me? We have two generations of the pods this Program, and it would help to confirm which caps you both have. :sparkles:

Hi,
Here is a snap of one of the pods and I can confirm that my profile now shows S2 Passiflora now, thank you.

There has been no real pattern to which sprays work. The first 3 didn’t register at all. I did the next three more slowly and they all registered. The next three only the second one registered and none for the next 3.

I am pressing as hard as i can and waiting for a few seconds between sprays.

Thank you
Teresa

Thanks Alex  Do these pics help? When the package arrived, things were very jumbled up and many of the caps of the pods and the black sprayer were detached. I had to put them back together but had no way of knowing what went to which pod. I thought all the spray tops were interchangeable. My app does show the correct pod I’m using, number 1, but I don’t know if that’s supposed to be pink or not (the pods fell out of their place in the box as well :grimacing:). Hopefully this gives you some more info. If something is not correct please let me know what to do! Thanks again!

Hi again, just an update - I think the app is tracking my sprays to some extent, but the main issue that I just realized is that it’s showing the pod as empty (even though I just started it). As you can see in my attached screenshots, it recognizes that I’ve started the program, but it’s showing that my last spray histories were during the first program in April instead of the previous two nights. :grimacing:

Hi savanna you could always try resetting your pod ( swiping right ) to setting and logging out screen and pressing reset pod for the time being, will tag @alexwalkerjones in here for you

Thanks Aaron, that worked! It switched to showing 70/70 and is now logging the sprays. I didn’t want to reset the sprays before because I was worried about losing the logs of the sprays I already did, but I guess it doesn’t matter because some of their logs are lost anyway. All is well now

Not sure if anything has happened behind the scenes, but my sofi stick has behaved itself for the last 2 spraying sessions…fingers crossed.

Thanks so much @teresa10823! That’s incredible and tagging @Kirill so we can keep track of this positive change.

So happy to hear @savanna! And thanks @Aaron for you help

Reseting the sprays won’t mess with the logs already in the sofi system, it’ll just alter the number on the screen to signal a new bottle (i.e. 70 out of 70)! Please do keep us updated on whether your sprays continue to count and if there’s anything you notice you are doing differently at all! :sparkles:
