Nevermind 6th time is the charm and it works
All day Wednesday stick not responding (replaced battery) app not logging sprays. Probably scrubbed Dashboard to hard with my new brush.
As above, stick not recognizing sprays again. Battery is new so no idea what’s going on. Have uninstalled app again and reinstalled.
Hi @CjaJose! Sorry to have missed your comment last week and thanks so much for flagging this. Hmm, that does sound like a but of a mystery and I’m passing it along to the devs team. Could you tell me if the green/blue light is still coming on?
We might have to send it in to be looked at for repair if there’s no sign of life, but it might be worth testing another battery out, just in case, in the meantime!
Hi @alexwalkerjones, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I gave spray another push and app responded but unfortunately its now showing 67 sprays left when I should be around mid thirties. Don’t fret about this as I will persevere with pod 1 until finished and then simply journal each day.
Thanks again,
Colin
Hi there
My sofi score has remained at 10 for the last month or so, it doesn’t seem to change even when I spray and journal daily. Any advice?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @freya.coxx, just tagging our head off sofi brain @enricovarano to double check for us, but no doubt as we are tweaking the algorithms ahead of the S3, you may find your sofi score to be off.
So long as you are journaling as consistently as you can, please don’t be discouraged by a low sofi score! When we go to award sofi seeds for journaling and spraying participation we will factor in any and all of the current sofi score limitations
My apologies and thanks for your patience, @freya.coxx and all our lovely Pioneers. That’s right @alexwalkerjones, we’re sorting out come technical updates before S3 and will re-compute the scores soon… In the meantime please ignore the score and journal to your heart’s content: all data is safe even if not reflected in the score
Thank you both for your replies, keep up the great work!
Hey @Kirill, I’ve been having a problem with the iOS app since around 15:56 (UTC). I was tweaking with the bubbles for my journal and I had to check on another screen for a sec then, when I was back, there was this “please update […] download from App Store” screen. Problem is, I’m already on latest iOS version.
If I close the app then open it again, first thing I see is that “update” screen.
It’s likely the dev team shipped a new build for Android with bug fixes and/or increased the minimum app-version in the backend, but such version doesn’t exist in iOS. If this was the case, it probably happened around the time I mentioned.
Ping me if you need more info
You were spot on @rwillians! Android users will now to need to update their permissions by navigating to: General settings > Apps > Sofi > Permissions > Nearby devices
iOS users should be back to normal, without any further action needed.
See here for the full story and here to help should anyone still be experiencing any issues. Sofi update making App crash - #16 by alexwalkerjones
Hey @alexwalkerjones, still now working for me
Same “please update” screen but I’m on latest iOS version, according to BR Apple Store.
It could be a cache problem: once my app became aware it needed to update (likely, backend told it so) then it cached that info offline and reads from it when booting the app — “corroborated” by the impression that it’s too fast to “fail” (fail = “please update” screen). Meaning, only way to clean-fix it would be shipping a new build for iOS, event if it’s empty of changes — just need to bump the version.
Workaround would be uninstall/install the app. I haven’t test this yet because if I test this hypothesis then I can’t test the possible fix of bumping the version haha
If you want, I could spare like 10-15 min today on this. Just ask the dev closest to this to reach out to me through @Kirill, I’d be glad to help.
Hey @Kirill,
I got a link from @alexwalkerjones pointing me to a blog entry but I think I got an unexpected behavior there, in the website.
I expected to see this:
But I got this:
I had to click on “start experience” to unveil the blog post, what wasn’t intuitive – not to mention the resulting poor SEO. For I moment I thought the frontend router-component was broken/misconfigured.
If I had to guess, I’d say that the frontend code mounts that “start experience” page and then mounts the router inside it, as a child component. It’s not an intuitive thing to do as dev IMO, so I guess that was a compromise to get something else more important working.
I don’t known if this is a known-issue or not, but it should probably be tracked for both:
- UX and/or Frontend;
- SEO: decreases SEO score.
Hi @rwillians, thanks for posting and I have raised this with the app team, as not too long after the re-design of the sofi app, we will also be redesigning our website to match
We originally implemented this screen for two reasons 1) as an intro page (we often post links to the blogs across different platforms, so it helps to serve as a quick intro to what we do) and 2) apparently browsers require you to click on something before a sound can be initiated on a website, so this served as a useful go-around for that, in order to provide the immersive binaural sound you hear throughout our website.
I can’t say for absolute certain, but we will most likely be saying good bye to this calming frequency for the new website, thus eliminating the need for the extra page
Ahhh I see, @alexwalkerjones. That makes sense, and I completely forgot about that calming sound in the background.
Well, I believe we’ll have an opportunity to talk more about this sometime in March, maybe April, depending on prios. Perhaps we can find a way to keep/bring back that immersive experience that the binaural sound helped create. Which, btw, totally helped my personal immersion while exploring what/how/who Sofi is.
Following on from this I’ve noticed my baseline days isn’t increasing… It’s stuck on 59, assume it froze at the same time as my score but I didn’t notice at first. I don’t mind that it’s not working, just wanted to give a heads up incase you think I’ve been slacking!
Hi. I have an issue with the seeds. It didnt give me any for my first journal but gave me 5 for my 2nd day. Also any for the treehouse has not been added. Also sometimes the bubble page freezes and i have to restart the app to try again. Thanks
Amazing @Zane … tagging our lovely @alexwalkerjones and @Kirill into this … hugely grateful for all the awesome feedback (and patience)! We are getting there together!!
Another observation re feedback:
I have noticed that one person who has posted recently has their joining date as the same time as their post (a matter of hours ago). This doesn’t seem very likely?
Let me add @georges.b.rattel and @alexwalkerjones here … perhaps an edge case but let’s see
