Thanks @purplepink, I love passiflora, its helped me a great deal, I can get 8 hours a night, may wake up, but soon back to sleep, thanks for your message
Thanks @drmudlark, I think so too
Evening @Purplepink its so lovely to always hear from you ā¦ we donāt want there to be any sting in any of the subscription programs so all then can be cancelled with 30 day notice at any time. I hope that helps a little ā¦ see that @alexwalkerjones as always has been on the ball on this already ā¦ as always grateful!
Thank you @Kaveh and @alexwalkerjones and everyone else here for making me feel so welcome
Iāve taken the plunge and subscribed!
It was hard to choose between ashwagandha and passiflora but Iāve decided to start with passiflora. I really like that we can change plants during the subscription period. It gives us a chance to adjust what we use depending on our individual requirements including current needs or changes in our lives.
I found ashwagandha helpful but so far I think passiflora has the slight edge for me. I havenāt tried valerian yet though so Iām looking forward to giving it a go once the subscription starts.
Iām excited for the next stage of Sofiās journey!
Iām a bit hesitant to subscribe. I donāt think ashwagandha has really done anything for me and I wasnāt a massive fan of the taste, it tastes like licorice for me which I donāt like. It is tolerable though. I havenāt been able to try the passiflora because the taste made me feel like I was going to throw up, and I havenāt tried valerian yet.
Also because of my experiences with the tastes, I would be hesitant to try new formulations out of, I guess fear, that Iād waste that months subscription on something I cannot stomach.
Hi @truudes
I understand everyoneās different and also in different circumstances and I wouldnāt want to tell anyone what to do
I just thought it may be helpful to give my experience with passiflora taste. Iāve been using it for about a week and the first time I tried it I thought I couldnāt continue. I also found the taste horrible but I tried it again and it started tasting nice.
Iām different to you though so it may not be the same for you. I love licorice too so that may make a difference.
Is there a way to maybe pause for a month, if people can make there pods stretch a wee bit, could they maybe pause or skip a month, just a thought, its not really a comparison, but I had a subscription to a shoe website, I love my boots, but there was a way to pause by the 7th of the month, and restart the next month, maybe it would help some people. Iām all in, but some canāt afford it every month. I have a lot of boots!!! Just a thought
Thatās a great point @truudes and our thinking is that every time a new plant comes on the horizon - hops or chamomile - we ask the community who wants to participate in that Pioneer Study ā¦ and we release those a first come first serve basis for free and pause your monthly subscription during it. So all new plants can be tried (say up to 1k studies) without charge first.
I really like this idea @MissTQ anf let me tag both @alexwalkerjones and @Kirill into it so we can look into the payment systems and figure a way out to enable it ā¦ I would love to have that option - shouldnāt really matter what your reason is. sofi, as a company and a mission should provide that flexibility. Let us look into it and come back to you
I occasionally have a bright idea, hope it helps some pioneers
I was just thinking the same @Kaveh @MissTQ it would be really helpful if we are going through a tough few months if there was an option to pause the subscription rather than have to cancel it.
I live the idea that we could pause the subscription and try the new plants for a month.
As always @alexwalkerjones you guys at Sofi are amazing. I am just working out whether I can cut costs somewhere to be able to afford the subscription xx
Thank you for that clarification @Kaveh
I have been wondering how we could try a new plant if we were on a subscription package because it wouldnāt make sense to take 2 different herbs at the same time which could confound the analysis.
Also, do you know when we might be able to view our own results of the trials? I would be much happier to subscribe if i could see which out of Passiflora and Ashwaghanda worked best for me (unless i can try one for the first month of subscription, and the other for the 2nd month). Iām pretty sure i donāt sleep any better on Valerian although it has been brilliant for some pioneers. I am on my 3rd pod second time around and am now fairly sure that it is not the herb for me. I have a vague recollection that Passiflora was helpful but that was a year ago and i didnāt keep my own records.
Welcome @truudes ā¦ for any questions pls tag @alexwalkerjones . She is absolutely helpful and prompt- enjoy the sofi journey
Thatās good to know thereās a chance to try out new plants, Iāll just have to make sure I donāt miss the chance to trial them. Thatās swayed me toward the subscription, Iāll stick with the ashwagandha for now, but hopefully down the line I can find the plant for me.
Itās amazing to have you with us on this new phase for our sofi ā¦ as she slowly wakes up and becomes a business ā¦ itās the only way we can go from helping our community here to the million we want to serve with better sleep and calm naturally ā¦ thx @truudes
I have to give my personal opinion on tastes, I donāt āhaveā to, but I will, they were all bad, but passiflora is better, its an earthy, almost mossy taste, ashwagandha and valerian were awful, but, like all pioneers, I soldiered through them, I didnāt get any hint of salted caramel with ashwagandha, or sweetness, strange how peoples taste buds differ, but Iām passiflora to the end, at least for now, I had a good 8 hours last night, woke twice, but was back to sleep very quickly. I have had insomnia for years, canāt believe how much power a wee plant can give to nudge us off to better sleep, calmness and even make us smile. Iām a soppy soul sometimes, good luck to everyone who finds better sleep tonight, or in future, with a nudge from Sofi and power plants.
I received the preorder email but it says itās for the UK. Are we eligible in the US to preorder? Itās confusing but perhaps Iāve missed a post that explainsš¤·š»āāļø
I think its just uk forst, @alexwalkerjones willbe the best person to answer that question @kaneary
I canāt wait to get started , i suffer with bpd and i really struggle with anxiety and my sleep is severely affected because of this , i no longer take medications and havenāt for yearās , id like to give a more natural treatment & i like the fact you can track the progress
Welcome @Kerrylyons28x to the sofi community. Itās best that you no longer take medications ā¦ I donāt trust artificial chemical substances. Natural treatment is the way forward, and I believe you are in the right place and with the right mindset for a supportive community. Please tag @alexwalkerjones for any questions you may have and get started. All the best, and talk to you soon.
