Changes to our Pioneer Studies moving forward

@Kaveh
Hi, i think my question within my last post in here wasn’t spotted so i hope you don’t mind if i ask it again?

Does anyone on the team know when we might be able to view the sofi analysis of our data from the trials?

Hi @kaneary - US preorders should be going live soon! We are just figuring out some of the logistics behind the scenes, but tagging @Kaveh here for further updates!

Great question @drmudlark - sorry it was missed earlier! I think you’ll enjoy this post: Sofi app | introducing in-app results!

I also wanted to add that you can absolutely decide to trial passiflora in month 1 and ashwagandha for month 2 - or vice versa - when it comes to subscription. For new Pioneers, it will be sofi’s recommendation that they trial all three of our starter plants (valerian, passiflora, ashwagandha) for 30 days each, before they settle on the one that works best moving forward.

Hi. I have only had the opportunity to use Ashwaganda but would have loved to have tried VAlerian and the other plant in S1. If I decide to subscribe, I would really like to try these as I don’t like the taste of the Ash. So could I subscribe to try the others?
Can I also ask , how do people get into the fragrance trials or have these now ended?

Hi, part of your question has been answered by Alex in this thread …
e.g.

“The default plant you’ll receive for shipment will be the plant sofi finds that you respond to the best. Of course, before this ships each month, you’ll absolutely have the choice to choose to swap plant, and may continue to do so for as many months as you like!”

So that sounds as if you can choose what you like. As you have only tried 1 so far you might be offered all 3 for the first 3 months and you could swap the Ashwa.
In my opinion none of them taste very nice but I got used to them and found it easy to drink something to take the taste away.

Alex or Marina will be able to answer you about the fragrances. All i know is that they have only been tried by pioneers in the US.

Hi @angela.campbell - there is absolutely the option to swap ashwagandha for one of the other two plants, should you not wish to use it again on subscription.

For those who have not trialled any of the plants, we recommend that they experience all three plants in the first three months so that they can then go from there, alongside sofi’s analysis and recommendation. As you have experience ashwagandha, it makes sense for your to skip that one and see if passiflora and/or valerian offers a better match

Our first fragrance study is exclusively taking place in the US at the moment, as the fragrance house we are partnered with opted to recruit new PIoneers specifically for fragrance testing.

As soon as we fragrance studies available for current Pioneers, we absolutely plan to offer these in conjunction to our plant studies - it is just a matter of figuring out exactly when and how that works!

Hi @kaneary - I just wanted to confirm that US preorders are now live! The same link to pre-order: order - Sofi should work now in dollars and shipping to US addresses.

So this cannot be considered a study anymore then? In the UK there are very tight regulations on what can be considered a study, and charging people for the product is a huge no. The wording of all this need to be updated, as I thought I was signing up for a study to test and provide feedback on your products, but if we are being charged to test them, then this is not a study, but a purchase! Really confused now, does this mean I won’t get to try your existing formulas as it told me when I signed up?

Hi @Katulu82 - thanks for your message! As explained above, “for those with Starter/Pioneer Packs already reserved, you’ll remain in our system and, following our second wave of production in December, (where we’ll have the option to quadruple the number of pods we can produce!), your free Starter Pack will be shipped to you so that your journey can begin.”

We will still fulfilling our promise to provide sofi as a free study/trial to those signed up as a Pioneer - we’re simply switching gears to also offer sofi as a paid subscription, in the meantime, for those who are interested in receiving sofi on an on-going basis, whom have already tried and tested many of our formulations as a Pioneer.

I hope that helps to clarify!

As I understand it, after receiving chamomile, the only way we can be considered for receiving a new “free” plant to try is if we are on a paid subscription of one or more of the original 3 plants. For me, none of the 3 plants helped…2 increased my anxiety and 1 greatly upset my stomach, so I stopped taking it. So I don’t want to subscribe to any of those. I assume this means I won’t be eligible to try any of the new plants coming out after chamomile. Is this correct?

Hi @kteach99 - this is a really interesting point you raise, and to be fully transparent, it’s not something we’ve made any final decisions on yet.

I think there may be an exception for those whom sofi did not find any significant results for with any of our initial three plants as already, as a part of our subscription, we’re incorporating the promise to all pioneers that:

should sofi not see a positive response to the plants within 100 days, we will enroll you, without charge, in new plant studies being activated on the sofi platform until we discover the one for you.

Hi,
What is the time scale as a pioneer on when we should subscribe by?

You can preorder @kaneary and we will find a way to get the pods to you … we recently activated the US pre order capability … let me know if that’s working … you should receive the opportunity to subscribe in USD

@alexwalkerjones @Kaveh I got an email saying my parcel from Huboo Technologies is on its way. Is this the pre order we subscribed to? Feeling excited :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

@Kaveh and @alexwalkerjones, Sorry it took so long for me to read your responses and respond (or do anything) I had to travel to a funeral and subsequently got covid - severely - and have been sick for the last 20 days. Finally feeling better and testing negative but still dealing with symptoms. Really looking forward to starting ashwaganda again… :mending_heart:

Yes, the link worked for me :raised_hands:t3: and I believe I’m confirmed for Ashwaganda shipment. My only concern is that the prior cartridges did not last very long. I know there were issues with the viscosity but what happens if the cartridge doesn’t last a full month? Just wondering. Also, do we have any idea when to expect those?

Maybe I missed it but are we still going to be testing the fragrance pods before shipping or was that program scrapped? I was really interested in trying that…

Nevertheless, thanks for all your hard work and stay well!! These newer covid variants are an angry bear :pensive:

I am always late to the parade…but better late than never. I am so happy to hear of your small good news! We all need to celebrate the small wins and keep putting one foot in front of the other when dealing with difficulties in life. May you be blessed and given strength to continue your journey in the best way possible for YOU :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hi Alex. I am just slowly ploughing through all the emailed topics. Have we got any word on when it will be available in Canada yet?
